Return 4 Cash Reward This web application is a piece of software supporting a repatriation service. Built from scratch, the applitication supports the reuniting of lost, small, portable, valuable items to the owner, in return for a cash reward, to those who find and subsquently successfully return the lost items concerned, anonimously, via Return 4 Cash Reward Limited (r4cr). For a modest annual subscription, each subscriber receives a number of uniquely serialised asset labels which they can attach to any small item of value (e.g. ipods, MP3 players, mobile phones, PDAs etc.) The subscriber also determines the level of reward payable in the event one of their items is lost. The reward is paid (to the person finding the lost item), via r4cr, only when the item is successfully returned to the owner.
Atonic Hosting lidd Consulting is now responsible for this site on behalf of Atonic Ltd., based in Dorset, UK. This simple site is a gateway for all Atonic's clients and provides information about their services. The site is due to be updated in the near future, again work that lidd Consulting will be doing.
The Dorset, Cornwall, Devon, Hampshire and Somerset county information sites: This group of county information sites are aimed at visitors to each county, as well as those living and working in each county. For visitors the sites contain information about hotels, bed and breakfast establishments, self-catering accommodation, holiday parks, caravans and camping sites. The sites also contain "What's On" information, visitor information, attraction details and varying details of businesses, charities, community organisations and others within each county. lidd Consulting, together with Atonic Ltd., is tasked with improving each site, offer listing subscribers a choice of options to be included when advertising their products and services, and provide improved search facilities for site visitors. Additional tasks required include improving the user interface, improve search engine optimisation, better reporting for listing subscribers and streamlined listing and billing process. It is anticipated that there will be other county information sites to follow.

The Organic Supermarket This site is essentially a comprehensive list of organic food, natural food and other organic goods available from suppliers in the UK. In partnership with Atonic Ltd. lidd Consulting improved the functionality of the site, further promoting it by improving the site's search engine optimisation, providing additional listing options and ensure that subscribing suppliers receive up-to-the-minute detailed statistical information they need from the site, in real time.
Bridport Gourmet Pies ln partnership with Atonic Ltd. lidd Consulting was charged with building a content management system (CMS) for this site, thus allowing the site owner to publish their own content on the site.
Trees For Rent This application manages the ordering of various Christmas trees that are available for rental in the Dorset area, and the application includes the online ordering process for renting (or purchasing) Christmas trees and wreaths. Before becoming involved the site was imcomplete and contained a few mistakes. With the Christmas period approaching, lidd Consulting, with Atonic Ltd. as a partner, completed and fixed the site in a very short space of time, enabling the cleint to trade online in time for the Christmas rush.
Ezee Messaging This web application provides a quick and easy way to send SMS (text) messages to one or more mobile phones from easy to use single location. Once registed, the user simply types their SMS message, selects on or more of their contacts, or a user defined group of contacts and then click a button to instantly send the message. Example usage could include things like a school informing all parents that the school is closed at very short notice because of a boiler breakdown, or a Sunday league football club quicky notifying all it's members that a match is off due to a sudden swine flu outbreak. The application allows the user to purchase text message credits in advance (rather like a 'pay-as-you-go' top up mobile phone), and allows the import of contacts from other systems (like Outlook for example).
St. Blazey Football Club This was another site, intended to promote the football club and inform members and the general public about the club, that did not work properly before lidd Consulting and Atonic Ltd. became involved. The site has now been fixed and works as it should.
KD Leach Limited This structural engineering practice required a very simple webiste to promote its services and expertise, and lidd Consulting built the entire site for the client.
Wyncantores Music Society The Wyncantores Musical Society website is a straight forward 'shop window' type site for the Society, used to advertise their meetings, a brief description of what they do, upcoming concerts and performances and contact information. This site was written by lidd Consulting in partnership with Atonic Ltd..
Dorset Music Hosue The Dorset Music House website is also straight forward 'shop window' type site, promoting a range of CDs, teaching materials, gifts, concert promotions and tickets in the Sherborne area, as well as other services, all related to classical music. In partnership with Atonic Ltd. lidd Consulting was engaged to improve the site slightly and build a contact form.
Bridge House Hotel The Bridge House Hotel website is designed to promote the hotel, in Beaminster, Dorset. lidd Consulting, in partnership with Atonic Ltd. had a very small role in the development of this site by carrying out some minor updates to the site.
Susie Edwards Floral Designer The Susie Edwards Floral Designer website is design to promote the services and activities of Susie Edwards. Again lidd Consulting, in partnership with Atonic Ltd. had a very small role in the development of this site by carrying out some minor updates to the site.
Weathervanes Direct In partnership with Atonic Ltd. lidd Consulting was recently engaged to fix this site (there were some broken links and a file upload facility failed) and amend the site according to the site owner's instructions. The site shows off a range of unique custom manufactured weathervanes for both domestic and international clients.
Mobile Storm Although this web applicaiton is still in development, lidd Consulting's involvement has now finished. Specifically, lidd Consulting was engaged to write a site search engine for the site (including an autocomplete function), install and configure a blog using WordPress and buid in some search engine optimization using a .htaccess file. Due to the vast and increasing number of moble phones listed in the site, lidd Consulting developed some software to create the .htaccess file automatically.
Villa Louise This site and web application advertises a luxurious villa available for short term holiday rental on Palm Island, Dubai. The site also provides the visitor with an on line booking and payment system for immediate reservations. Additionally the site has a built in management system for the villa and site owner. Other features of the site include multiple language support and numerous images and small animations.
PhoneSaint This web application, currently under development and almost complete, advertises and manages a repatriation service for members’ lost mobile phones with a reward offered - paid by site members - to those that find and successfully return lost mobile phones. The site includes numerous features such as member management, subscription management and reward payments. The unique feature of the site is that finders and members (owners of mobile phones) are kept separate and anonymous from each other thus ensuring confidentiality. The PhoneSaint service is due for imminent launch.
JAC Job Costing System The John Allen Consulting Job Costing System securely records the time the Company’s employees have been working on a number of construction projects (jobs), each of which have one or more fees associated with it. The system enables the Company, a Structural Engineering and Building Services Design practice, to keep track of costs (time, expenses, materials etc.) and compare them against fees due to be paid. The system also has the ability to raise invoices and produce numerous reports, including a histogram.
John Allen Consulting (new site) This new site, a re-work and simplification of John Allen Consulting’s existing website, is currently under development and is near completion. Primarily the site is designed to be a ’shop window’ for promoting John Allen Consulting’s services. This new site is to be published in the near future.
Kam Bains School of Martial Arts The Kam Bains School of Martial Arts’ website, now retired, was a site to keep the school’s members, and others, informed about what was going on in the school. The site’s features included a picture gallery and a member’s only section which consisted of, amongst other things, a bulletin board, a moderated members’ forum and the publication of the latest school newsletter.
John Allen Consulting Intranet This site was developed in response to a need to get large amounts of data to John Allen Consulting clients and other parties that are involved in various construction projects. John Allen Consulting needed an easy system to enable clients and others to be able to securely access only the data that they needed. The intranet site includes a client and data management system that allows John Allen Consulting to manage clients and upload data, and for the clients to able to download the data available to them.
John Allen Consulting RSS News Feed This simple one page site allows John Allen Consulting to manage RSS news feeds to cascade information to staff via RSS news reading clients on the desktop. When a news item is entered to the site, the RSS news reading clients are updated.
John Allen Consulting Network Access Another straightforward one page site that allows John Allen Consulting staff to securely remotely access the corporate network via their web browser and without the need to connect to the office via a virtual private network connection.
